The method, plainly told

One table.
One weather of wax.

ALCHEMY is a self-taught artist's studio. No factory line, no purchased stock — just soy wax, patience and a table by a window in Chennai. This is how every candle happens.

ALCHEMY's candle-making kit: melting pot, soy wax flakes in a coconut shell, thermometer, fragrance oils and cotton wicks
Pour by pour

Three steps, no shortcuts.

1

Melt low & slow

Soy wax flakes go into the melting pot and come down to temperature carefully — high heat is the enemy of clean soy pours.

2

Stir the scent

Fragrance oils are stirred in gently, so the aroma lives inside the wax and releases across the whole burn, not the first evening.

3

Pour, bloom, pack

Wicks set, wax poured, petals embedded by hand. Then the lid goes on and the piece is packed like a gift.

Keep the flame kind

Candle care, the five rules.

  • First burn, 2–3 hours — let the melt pool reach the edges so the candle never tunnels.
  • Trim the wick — 5–6 mm before every lighting keeps the flame steady and soot-free.
  • Burn in stretches — up to 4 hours at a time, then rest the wax.
  • Flat, heat-safe surface — away from curtains, kids and paws.
  • Stop at the last cm — when little wax remains, retire the vessel with honour.

Why it matters

Light here does double duty.

Part of every order funds canine welfare in Chennai. So the candle you gift warms a room — and the order behind it feeds a friend on four legs.
